Microsoft Outlook 2000/XP Users
  • Open up Outlook. From the menu bar, select -Tools-, and then click on -Accounts-.
  • In the window that appears, select the -Mail- tab and click -Add- and then -Mail- to begin the setup wizard.
  • An Internet Connection Wizard will open and ask you to answer some simple questions to set up your mail account.
  • First, types in your full name as you want recipients to see it. Click -Next- to continue.
  • Type in your e-mail address in the form such as johndoe@hostingworks.com.my Click -Next- to continue.
  • Next, use the drop-down menu to select -POP-, and in the field where it says -Incoming Mail (POP, IMAP, HTTP) Server- , enter "eg: mail.hostingworks.com.my" and in the field that says -Outgoing mail (SMTP) server- , type "eg: mail.hostingworks.com.my".
  • Key-in your user name in the -Account Name- field. The account name *MUST* be the FULL e-mail address .
  • Key-in the password for your e-mail account (Make sure the password is similar to the one created in the MailEnable System) . Make sure the -Remember password- box is checked . Then click the -Next- button.
  • Click the -Finish- button to complete the setup wizard.
  • You will now see your mail account under the Mail tab in the accounts window. There are still a few features you need to configure before you can access your e-mail. Click on the account and click on the -Properties- button.
  • A mail properties window will appear. Click the -Servers- tab.
  • Check the box at the bottom that says -My Server Requires Authentication-. Make sure  -Log on using Secure Password Authentication- is UNCHECKED .
  • You will now see the account window that you originally accessed to begin setup. Click -Close- on this window.
  • Outlook will now prompt you for your e-mail password. Type it and click -Ok-.
  • If your password is accepted, the messages contained in your inbox will appear on the right, and then you can start sending and receiving mail with your new e-mail account.
